Lang Son roasted duck has become a famous culinary brand, with its own unique flavor because it is prepared with mac mat leaves. Bite into a piece of meat and you will feel the sweetness of the richly marinated meat and the aroma of mac honey leaves.
Cao Sang cake
Cao Sang cake is described with honey color, soft, flexible, tough, cut into rectangular pieces, sprinkled with crushed roasted peanuts. Cakes are served with a simple sauce mixed together with sugar, chili and culantro. Cao Sang cakes are sold at Phai Mon slope, near Ky Lua market.

Banh cuon trung (Egg rolls) are a specialty in Lang Son city, different from banh cuon in other places in the filling and broth. The maker will crack an egg into the middle of the steamer, close the lid and wait for the egg to cook before using a bamboo stick to take the cake. Cover and put on a plate, sprinkle some delicious minced meat on top.

Ap chao cake
Lang Son specialty Banh Chao with duck meat filling, when dipped and eaten with papaya fish sauce mixed with chili vinegar for a unique flavor. Bite into a piece of Chao Chao and you can feel the sticky flavor of sticky rice flour and the attractive sweetness of duck meat.

Ngai cake
People in the northern mountainous regions often use mugwort leaves to make cakes. Ngai cake is made from young wormwood leaves boiled in clean ash water until soft, then washed, removed fibers, put in a mortar and pounded. Then pour in the cooked sticky rice and pound it with wormwood leaves until it forms a smooth and flexible powder.
When the dough is smooth, the cake is filled with sesame paste and finely crushed sugar and then steamed for 10-15 minutes. When cooked, the cake will be dark green with a very characteristic aroma.
